Government Wants To Cut Planned Parenthood Funding - TwistIt Tuesday

So the first topic we are rolling with on TwistIt Tuesday is the issue about the government wants to cut funding for Planned Parenthood.  Now the basis of TwistIt Tuesday is taking a situation and twisting it to put YOU in the driver seat.

Now here are the facts:
Almost unnoticed in the wars over the federal budget has been a pitched battle over money for Planned Parenthood, which provides contraception, medical services and abortions at 800 clinics around the country. At stake is more than $75 million that Planned Parenthood receives to provide family planning assistance to low-income women, money that its opponents say only frees up funds for abortions.  Planned Parenthood’s role as a major abortion provider has long provoked fierce opposition, but this month its opponents broadened their attacks, seeking to discredit the organization by linking it to the sexual exploitation of minors.  More information is located HERE

So what we want to know is WHAT WOULD YOU DO if this came across your table as a lawmaker.  Now you do not have to know the law to participate all you have to do is TWIST the situation so YOU are at the helm and can make or break this funding.  Please post your comments below and feel free to share this topic with all your friends.  The Promo Squad wants to welcome you all to TwistIt Tuesdays.

  1. personally this can go either way...i feel that there are not enough people with healtcare that can not afford to go to the doctor to get contriceptives...one the other hand when it comes to abortions i feel that it is the females choice on that issues and if thy cut fundin some women wont have a choice...lets say a woman is raped and gets impregnated but she doesnt want to bring that child into this world who can she turn to...now keep in mind that she has no money or healthcare so Planned Parenthood is her only choice...if i had a chance to stop this i would for the simple fact that it is vital in the urban communities...thats my opinion tho
