Taija New

Taija New is a lyricist, songwriter, and dancer.

She is a multi-talented performer who fuses her love for music, dance, art and life together to create an experience for her audience.

Born in the basketball famed city of Springfield, Massachusetts, thanks to her parents, Taija fell in love with R&B music at a very young age as she listened to everything from the Commodores to TLC in her household.

Her love for language followed her to college as she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from The University of Massachusetts.

New created her sound and can be heard in the variety of flows and genres to the Spanish inserts in her music. She continues to inspire others and remains open to accept inspiration by many.

New has performed in cities covering Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.

She currently has two tracks for sale on iTunes and a station on Pandora.

Other than booking shows frequently, New can be found ruling as King on the open mic stage.

Whatever New task she sets her mind on she usually doesn't quit it until it becomes apart of The New Experience.

Taija New - "Newbian King" (@TaijaNew)

Written by Mister Promo | September 24, 2015

Taija New

The woman behind who you view onstage. She is more than just a Hip Hop lyricist and dancer. She is also a songwriter and one of the very, very few hardest working female indie artist I know. This woman holds talent in many areas.

Taija has put forth an extreme amount of hours to combine her love and passion for music, dance, art and life together to create the ultimate experience for you, her audience.

Her heavy hitting (and at times) carnal texts demonstrate her ability to conform to every genre, tempo, and rhythm of tune. Yet this is all done entirely, still, with you in mind, her audience.

Taija is currently working on her debut EP "Color Me Complex". Which features her sophomore single, "Newbian King".

Performing this single live for the first time it received the exact amount of attention it should have. Amazing!

Check that out in the video below.
I implore that you watch the entire video. It features two singles by Taija New, however, Newbian King begins at 4:07.

This performance was filmed live at the
1st Annual Latino Festival
Hartford, CT.

The phenomenal, Taija New.
The self-motivated, Taija New.
The all around talked about,
at the same time, America's
best kept secret, Taija New.
This woman has enough drive
to power a 2016 Bugatti Veyron.

If you aren't ready for her,
then I suggest you take a backseat.

Taija New is moving in every
direction except down.
This Springfield, MA resident,
born and raised, just may be
what the city needs to jump start
the music industry outside of the
rock/alternative music scene.

There are many rap artist residing in
Springfield, MA who have talent but
very few possess the vision for success.
Taija New has both.
